Americans FREED – Taliban Suddenly Has “Goodwill”!

Trump’s re-election isn’t even official yet, and suddenly the Taliban is releasing American hostages as a “goodwill gesture” – funny how that works when the adults are back in charge!

Another American Freed as Taliban Suddenly Discovers “Goodwill”
It’s amazing how quickly things change on the world stage when there’s a shift in American leadership. An American woman named Faye Hall has just been released from Taliban custody in Afghanistan after being detained since February of this year.

Hall was reportedly held on the ridiculous charge of “using a drone without authorization” – because apparently, the Taliban regime that harbored the 9/11 terrorists and oppresses its own people is now deeply concerned about proper drone permitting procedures. The timing of this release, coming right after Trump’s election victory, speaks volumes about who commands respect on the world stage.

Hall’s release was confirmed by former U.S. special representative for Afghanistan reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad, who announced that she is “now in the care of our friends, the Qataris in Kabul, and will soon be on her way home.” She was detained alongside two British nationals, Peter and Barbie Reynolds, and their Afghan translator.

Unfortunately, the Reynolds couple, who have been involved in school training programs in Afghanistan for 18 years and remained after the Taliban takeover in 2021, are still being held hostage by these medieval tyrants who call themselves a government.

The Taliban’s Convenient Change of Heart

Let’s be crystal clear about what’s happening here. The Taliban’s ambassador in Qatar, Suhail Shaheen, had the audacity to describe Hall’s release as a “goodwill gesture” to improve bilateral relations. This sudden discovery of diplomatic manners comes right after Trump’s election victory – what an amazing coincidence! It’s almost as if terrorist organizations and rogue regimes respond differently when they know there will be real consequences for their actions, rather than endless appeasement and pallets of cash from an administration that apologizes for America’s existence.

The Taliban regime, which isn’t recognized by any respectable government on the planet (though Russia, China, and Turkey maintain embassies there – birds of a feather, I suppose), has explicitly stated they hope for improved relations with the United States following Trump’s re-election. Translation: They know the days of American weakness and endless diplomatic hand-wringing are coming to an end, so they’re scrambling to make nice before the new sheriff takes office. How predictable!

More Americans Freed, Others Still Held

Hall isn’t the only American citizen released from Taliban captivity this year. George Glezmann, Ryan Corbett, and William McKenty have also been freed. But let’s not forget that Mahmood Habibi, another U.S. citizen, remains “unjustly held” according to our government. The Taliban denies having him, with spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid bluntly stating, “No, we don’t have him.”

Of course they deny it – lying is as natural as breathing to these people. Why would anyone take the word of a regime that promised women’s rights before immediately stripping them away once they seized power?

The sad reality is that Americans have been abandoned in Afghanistan since Biden’s catastrophic withdrawal that left billions in military equipment in Taliban hands while stranding countless allies and American citizens. Our enemies saw that debacle as proof of American weakness.

Now, with Trump heading back to the White House, these same adversaries are suddenly finding their manners. It’s a stark reminder that in geopolitics, respect doesn’t come from eloquent speeches or diplomatic niceties – it comes from strength and the willingness to back up your words with action. The world is watching, and they already know what’s coming.
