Biden White House Confesses Migrant Drowning Narrative Is False

Influential Libs of TikTok account owner Chaya Raichik called out Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) for his sanctimonious and false accusation against Texas officials. The leftist falsely declared that state authorities prevented Border Patrol agents from rescuing three drowning illegal migrants.

Schiff on X, formerly Twitter, called the act that never happened “unimaginably cruel and inhumane” before singling out Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.

However, the Biden White House confessed that the charges are false.

Raichik noted the administration’s confession and asked when Schiff would delete his defamatory tweet.

In a Supreme Court filing, the Biden White House admitted that three migrants who perished last week died long before Border Patrol agents attempted to intervene. That did not stop the administration from harshly criticizing Texas officials over the tragedy.

Texas has control of the Shelby Park area where last week’s incident occurred, and the White House said officers refused to allow entry by Border Patrol agents.

Department of Homeland Security general counsel Jonathan Meyer sent a letter warning Texas to cease preventing border officials from the area. The missive was addressed to state Attorney General Ken Paxton.

As recently as Saturday the administration called Texas officials “cruel, inhumane and dangerous.” They further ranted that Border Patrol “must have access to the border to enforce our laws,” as if immigration laws are enforced under Biden.

But the facts do not bear out leftist accusations. According to the Department of Justice filing, Mexican officials informed Border Patrol agents at 9 p.m. that the three migrants drowned a full hour earlier.

They reported that two additional migrants were in distress, but they were rescued on the Mexican side of Eagle Pass.

Lone Star State authorities resisted the narrative peddled by the Biden White House.

The Texas Military Department released a statement clarifying the situation. “Claims that [the department] prevented Border Patrol from saving the lives of drowning migrants are wholly inaccurate. At the time that Border Patrol requested access, the drownings had occurred.”

Officials further noted that Mexican agents were recovering the bodies at that point and Border Patrol was well aware of that fact. Of course, for the Democratic administration and leftists such as Schiff, the facts should never interfere with a good argument.
