The Biden administration’s border policies have come under intense scrutiny following revelations that over seven million migrants, including potential criminals and terrorists, have entered the country through the “catch and release” program. According to Fox News, an additional 1.9 million individuals have crossed the border undetected, raising concerns about national security and voter fraud ahead of the November elections.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is overwhelmed, with its “non-detained docket” reaching 7.4 million cases. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep. Mark Green (R-IN) criticized the administration, stating, “Would-be border crossers around the world are making a bet that if they cross under this administration, they will be released into the interior. These numbers show that’s usually a winning wager.”
Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) echoed these concerns on X, highlighting the need to secure the border and prevent government overreach. The situation has prompted Republicans to push for stricter voting laws to ensure non-citizens do not vote in the upcoming elections.
Moreover, welfare offices and other agencies in 49 states are providing voter registration forms to migrants without requiring proof of citizenship. This has led to calls for swift federal action to prevent potential voter fraud. Only Arizona has passed a law barring the practice on state forms.
The House Administration Committee recently approved the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which requires proof of citizenship for voter registration. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) emphasized the need for greater enforcement measures to secure the voter registration process.
In addition to these concerns, a report from the House Judiciary Committee revealed that the Biden administration has been releasing unvetted unaccompanied alien children (UAC) into the country. This program has been exploited by gang members for recruitment purposes, as noted by the Trump administration.
Former President Donald Trump accused Joe Biden of aiding terrorist activities by not enforcing border security. During a speech in Florida, Trump highlighted the increase in individuals on the terror watchlist entering the country, stating, “Under Biden, there’s been a 3,000 percent increase in the number of people on the terror watchlist crossing into our country from the southern border.”
As Republicans push for stricter border policies and voter registration laws, the administration faces mounting pressure to address these national security concerns. The situation underscores the need for a comprehensive approach to secure the border and protect the integrity of U.S. elections.
