Commercial Plane’s UFO Encounter Over New York Sparks Pentagon Investigation

The Pentagon is investigating a near miss between a commercial airplane and an unidentified flying object over the Atlantic Ocean near New York. The encounter, involving a “cylindrical object,” was reported by the airline crew and is part of the Pentagon’s annual review of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs).

For clarity, we’re using “UFO” in this article, not to claim alien activity in New York. Nonetheless, credible evidence points to an unidentified object — whether physical or ethereal — originating from a government site, space, the ocean, another dimension, or a spiritual domain.

This event was the only one among 757 reported cases in the past year that raised concerns about aviation safety. The All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is examining the details, although the airline and exact timing of the incident remain unclear.

Of the 757 sightings reviewed, nearly 300 were attributed to conventional objects like satellites, drones, or balloons. However, many reports remain unresolved, often due to limited data or vague descriptions from witnesses.

The sightings frequently include reports of spherical shapes or lights, and one account described a jellyfish-like object with flashing lights. Many other incidents have been attributed to Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites, which are sometimes mistaken for UFOs.

Despite the volume of reports, the Pentagon has emphasized there is no evidence of extraterrestrial involvement. “To date, AARO has discovered no evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity, or technology,” the report confirmed.

The near miss near New York underscores the importance of investigating UAPs to protect public safety and ensure greater understanding of these unexplained events.
