FBI Investigates Swatting Surge As Conservative Media Figures Targeted

The FBI is ramping up efforts to combat an alarming rise in swatting incidents targeting media figures, with Director Kash Patel confirming on X that federal authorities are investigating. The surge in cases has disproportionately affected conservative personalities, prompting calls for urgent action.

According to Gateway Pundit, conservative influencer Gunther Eagleman was one of the latest victims, with police responding to a false hostage situation at his home. His brother, Mike Engleman, was also swatted, highlighting a broader pattern of coordinated harassment.

The Daily Mail reported that radio host Joe Pagliarulo, known as Joe Pags, faced a similar situation. The outlet confirmed that Pags captured footage of armed officers outside his residence after a hoax emergency call. The conservative commentator later reached out directly to Patel, urging an FBI response.

Meanwhile, The Post Millennial detailed the targeting of InfoWars host Chase Geiser, who was swatted twice in a matter of hours. Law enforcement was falsely told Geiser had threatened his family, leading to a high-risk police response. Officers quickly determined the call was fraudulent.

Patel made it clear that these incidents pose a serious risk. “Weaponizing law enforcement against ANY American is not only morally reprehensible but also endangers lives, including those of our officers,” he wrote.

The FBI’s decision to intervene comes as conservative figures voice concerns over the trend. Many believe these hoaxes are politically motivated, with doxing playing a role in making victims more vulnerable.

Authorities have yet to confirm arrests in connection to these incidents, but Patel assured that more updates will follow as the investigation moves forward.
