Musk Takes Aim At Fauci, Renews Prosecution Call

Elon Musk has doubled down on his demand for Dr. Anthony Fauci to face prosecution, reigniting debates over the pandemic’s management and the former health official’s legacy. “My pronouns are still prosecute/Fauci,” Musk posted on X, following years of criticism of Fauci’s decisions during COVID-19.

The remark came as conservatives highlighted Fauci’s financial benefits, including a $480,654 salary at retirement, a $355,000 pension, and a reported $11 million net worth. Musk and others also questioned the $15 million spent on Fauci’s security since stepping down in 2022.

Musk has accused Fauci of misleading Congress and supporting research that contributed to the pandemic. Fauci has denied these claims, calling them baseless. Earlier this year, he testified before Congress, facing questions about his role in funding research linked to the Wuhan lab and allegations of a lab leak cover-up.

Since acquiring Twitter, Musk has amplified critiques of Fauci and lifted restrictions on discussions about COVID-19’s origins. His criticism aligns with growing conservative skepticism of pandemic policies and calls for greater accountability.

As a key advisor to President-elect Donald Trump, Musk has been instrumental in advancing conservative causes. He donated $100 million to Trump’s campaign efforts and led initiatives encouraging voter participation. Musk’s influence is expected to play a significant role in shaping Trump’s agenda.

With Fauci remaining a focal point of conservative scrutiny, Musk’s calls for accountability reflect broader demands to revisit decisions made during the pandemic.
