DHS Secretary Kristi Noem announced that several individuals within the agency have been identified as the sources behind leaked details of an ICE operation in Los Angeles. The leaks led to widespread protests and gave criminal illegal immigrants a chance to evade arrest.
Noem, appearing on Fox News, warned that leaking such information is a serious offense. “We have identified some of the leakers. We are continuing to find more,” she stated. She assured that those responsible will face firings and possible prosecution.

The Biden-Harris administration had restricted ICE’s ability to arrest and deport illegal immigrants, but under Trump, those policies have been reversed. Despite this, opposition from sanctuary cities and leftist activists continues to make enforcement difficult.
Noem confirmed that leaking internal information not only disrupts ICE efforts but also puts officers at risk. “When they leak information to the press in order to blow an operation, they are putting law enforcement lives in jeopardy,” she stated.
DHS has yet to release further details about how many individuals have been identified or which agencies they belong to, but Noem indicated that ongoing investigations will ensure future ICE operations remain secure.
