As illegal immigration skyrockets across America because of President Joe Biden’s policies, three unlawful migrants were recently arrested in New York City, New York, after committing a citywide scheme to steal cell phones and wallets from women.
The New York City Police Department (NYPD) arrested three illegal immigrants after the trio reportedly went on a lengthy crime spree, stealing smartphones and wallets from around 62 women. Law enforcement said the unlawful migrants were from Venezuela but failed to disclose when they arrived in the Big Apple.
Authorities believe the illegal immigrants stole the cell phones to try and access payment software, such as Apple Pay or Cash App.
NYPD reported that the trio was arrested in a likely “safe house near the Bronk” upon conducting a search warrant. The illegal immigrants will soon be charged with committing multiple robberies and grand larcenies.
“Most migrants come to NYC in search of a better life. Sadly, some come to commit crime,” NYPD Assistant Commissioner Kaz Daughtry wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Today we made tremendous progress in the largest robbery pattern plaguing our city. Our message is simple — commit a crime in our city and we will find you and bring you to justice.”

In a press conference addressing the criminal actions of the three illegal immigrants, New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) said the incident is “not about migrants and asylum seekers.”
“This isn’t about the migrants and asylum seekers, this is about those who break the law. It doesn’t matter where you’re from and where you came from,” Adams said.

Despite the arrests, NYPD officers pointed out that the trio’s “ringleader,” Victor Parra, has yet to be arrested for allegedly using illegal immigrants for “his dirty work.”
“He’s the big target. [He] has caused a lot of problems in New York City,” Officer Nicholas Fiore said.
The NYPD announced that Parra would manage the crimes from his apartment in New York City by recruiting many illegal immigrants who recently arrived in the Big Apple.
“They use social media platforms and coordinate their thefts. This is how they operate. The leader of the crew identified as Victor Parra will blast out a message via WhatsApp that he’s looking for phones,” Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenney said.
