PAC For Nikki Haley Voters Switches Support To Kamala Harris After Biden Exits Race

A PAC that initially represented Nikki Haley voters has thrown its support behind Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election. This follows President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek reelection and his endorsement of Harris.

Biden announced his withdrawal from the race in a statement on X, praising Harris and urging Democrats to rally behind her to defeat Donald Trump. The PAC, now called “Haley Voters for Harris,” expressed their support for Harris, highlighting her experience as a “tough prosecutor.”

Craig Snyder, the PAC’s director, told Newsweek that Harris’s centrist position appeals to their base and makes her the best candidate to defeat Trump. He emphasized, “The Vice President comes from the centrist wing of the Democratic Party, not its leftmost fringe, which is appealing to Haley’s supporters.”

Nikki Haley, meanwhile, has been calling for Republican unity. During her speech at the Republican National Convention, she stressed the importance of supporting Trump to protect American values and ensure national security, despite any differences within the party.

Harris has also garnered endorsements from several key Democrats, including Hillary Clinton. Clinton praised Harris’s abilities and urged supporters to rally behind her to counter Trump’s influence. Clinton’s endorsement underscores the party’s need for unity and a strong candidate to face the Republican challenge in the upcoming election.
