President Donald Trump has not only cut off U.S. intelligence-sharing with Ukraine but has also directed the U.K. to stop passing along any American military intelligence to Kyiv. This decision marks a significant shift in U.S. policy, signaling that Washington will no longer be a driving force behind Ukraine’s war effort.
U.K. intelligence agencies, including GCHQ and military branches, have reportedly received clear instructions to halt the transmission of U.S.-derived intelligence to Ukraine. Since the war’s onset, the U.K. and other NATO allies had worked closely with U.S. intelligence networks to provide Ukraine with key military data. Now, that cooperation has been severed, leaving Ukraine with fewer strategic resources.
🚨Breaking: The US has banned Britain from sharing any military intelligence with Ukraine.
This is akin to being kicked out of the five eyes, it also signals the lowest point in UK/USA relations.

The decision follows Trump’s recent suspension of military aid to Ukraine, which had already left Kyiv facing a growing shortage of weapons and supplies. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had been lobbying for continued Western support, but a heated White House meeting last week led to a breakdown in relations. Reports suggest that Zelensky argued with Vice President JD Vance and refused to move forward on a minerals agreement that would have granted the U.S. access to Ukraine’s rare earth resources.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed that intelligence-sharing channels with Kyiv had been paused. “Trump had a real question about whether President Zelensky was committed to the peace process, and he said let’s pause,” Ratcliffe stated. The intelligence freeze has also resulted in a reduction of U.S. surveillance operations over Ukraine, limiting Kyiv’s ability to gather battlefield data.
European leaders are now left grappling with the fallout of the U.S. withdrawal. While British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has pledged continued aid to Ukraine, it remains unclear how much intelligence the U.K. will be able to provide without access to American resources.
With the U.S. stepping back, Ukraine now faces an increasingly difficult situation. Zelensky has reached out to European allies for assistance, but without U.S. intelligence, Kyiv’s military strategy is facing significant setbacks.
