J6 Committee Members Resume Theatrics, Claim They’re In Danger If Trump Wins

Former members of the now-defunct House Jan. 6 committee have resumed their embarrassing public hysterics by expressing fears for their lives if former President Donald Trump is re-elected. They told CBS News that they worry about retribution should the 45th president win in November.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) was so shaken by the possibility of consequences for his actions that he discussed his possible fate with his wife. Among his and other Democrats’ worries are they will be jailed under a second Trump administration.

The concerns stem from a Truth Social post written by the former president last month in which he expressed his belief that former Rep. Liz Cheney “should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!” However Trump’s penchant for such statements is well-known and it is widely understood that he will not incarcerate political opponents.

Schiff claimed to be unconvinced stating “My wife and I have had conversations about what life would look like if the worst happened…You can’t avoid the conversations about ‘What if?’ And I have to think about my personal safety.”

Despite these concerns there is no evidence to suggest that Trump’s critics face any real danger beyond being the object of a derisive post on Truth Social. During his four years in the White House Trump had ample opportunity to weaponize the government against his critics but unlike his successor he refused to do so.

However this reality does not placate the leftist committee members who seem eager to paint themselves in a heroic and tragic light. Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) said she is fearful that Trump will do what he said he will do while former D.C. Police Officer Michael Fanone told CBS News that he is also worried stating “He is going to weaponize the Department of Justice…and use it to go after people like myself…He’s telling us exactly what he plans to do.”
